Hey, I’m Angela.

Southern Heaven started the same way most things worth doing start — small, and a little bit stubborn. I grew up in East Texas, in a family where you showed love through a full table and a front porch with room for one more chair.

This site is where I write it all down: the recipes I’ve carried from my grandmother’s kitchen to mine, the small towns worth a Sunday drive, the scripture that got me through a hard week, and the day-to-day of trying to raise a family with faith at the center of it.

It’s also connected to a real place — Appleby Sand Mercantile Cafe, where you can come taste a little of this in person. You can read more about that here.
